The blog title, "It's Close to Midnight" is the beginning lyrics to Michael Jackson's song, "Thriller." It was the first album I ever owned. It's also my favorite Halloween song.
I created this blog to showcase and remember, especially to dedicate to my husband, Trevor. He really loves to go all out on Halloween, and my sister has pretty much taken over on Christmas, as we live together. So, we don't really have anything that we really love to decorate for, except for Halloween.
I am a Christmas person, myself. If I had my own place, my home would be like the elves threw up Christmas all over the place. I stick to a tropical theme, typically. And we begin our tree with football season, decorating it for the Green Bay Packers. Once December rolls around, the green and yellow ornaments stay, the football tree skirt gets put away, but out come the Mele Kalikimaka decor.
Unfortunately, we are in a situation where we are roommating with my sister and caregiving my mother whom has Alzheimer's Disease. I say unfortunately, because I really don't want to live in Southern California, and I do want my own place with all my own stuff, without having to compromise with anyone else about the placement of our stuff. I also don't like the situation my mother is in and I wish she was mentally healthy.
So, as I go through my archives of diaries and photographs, I will try and keep this blog as active as possible.
Happy Hauntings.
🎃Dedication
For my husband, Trevor, who missed many Halloweens. Here's to celebrating Halloween together in the future and making spirits fright. I love you. 🦇
